bioSeble Maaza discovered her love of fashion watching old films as a child in Washington, DC. She was captivated by fashion's ability to transform and by the impact that transformation could make. It was magical to her then and still is today. This fascination led her to New York City and to a career that has spanned more than 18 years, with an occasional break to have and raise a wonderfully spirited child, to open a few businesses, and to adopt a very rude talking African Grey parrot. Unfailingly supportive and optimistic, Seble taps into her own multicultural experience (she is of German and Ethiopian descent) to effectively communicate across the gaps of culture, creed, and background. Her empathy is clear to those she styles. She never attempts to impose an image on her clients but instead works closely with each personality, nurturing, encouraging, and relating to their specific ambitions, visions and natures, until they are satisfied and comfortable with the image they will project to the public. |
